Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation

Physiotherapy is the health specialty responsible for the prevention and treatment of postural and musculoskeletal diseases due to multiple conditions. Rehabilitation is concerned with providing a non-pharmacological alternative to alleviate and recover the functional capacities altered by accident and/or illness. The ultimate goal of these disciplines is to promote quality of life and autonomy of the patient, fostering both the reduction of pain and stiffness, and the recovery of the functionality of members and systems (circulation, balance, walking, breathing, etc.) through a wide range of therapeutic techniques.
